Marketing funnels are simply path ways you create on your Web site for people to take.
Most likely people arrive at your Web site either organically or through some intentional marketing strategy you created. Marketing funnels are tools to help you answer three basic questions once people land on your website:
1. What do I want this person to do?
2. How am I going to get them to do it?
3. How am I going to measure my effectiveness?
You can see how the marketing funnels you establish need to tie into your Web site objectives.
For example, if one of your objectives is to get people to sign up for an e-newsletter then you need to compel people from your homepage to your e-newsletter registration page as quickly as possible.
