Step 14.
“Do Good” donors are people who were inspired to contribute to your charity but their hearts are with another cause.
No matter what you do, you will not be successful at motivating them to give again.
It is important to identify these donors as soon as possible so you are not waiting for some arbitrary date to pass so you can reduce the amount of correspondence they receive.
These donors are quick hitters . . . they want to move in and donate as soon as possible and move along.
These donors respond best to banner ads on your homepage highlighting one of your most compelling programs with urgency.
Every charity has these kinds of donors and unfortunately they spend way too much money trying to inspire them to a place where these donors never want to be.
I have figured out how to identify these “Do Good” donors but that is for another book.
